As I read the essays on Ms. A's website I really didn't disagree with any ones essay. I think everyone believes things for a reason and every I believe essay has something we can all connect to. For me I connected to the essay about always going to funerals. Like the lady that wrote the essay, I had to attend a lot of funerals when I was a kid. For me they were close family members but I still hated them. It was always so sad. I remember walking up to my grandfathers casket and feeling his cold hands and crying. Even though I was only 8 It stuck with me like a horror movie. I only remember a few moments of my grandfather but his smile really was remarkable. I will always go to a funeral because even if it seems like a bother to me it could really make a difference to a loved one of mine.

I haven't had to attend many funerals. A couple close family members. After reading "I believe in always going to the funeral," I never really viewed funerals as an inconvenience but more I just didn't like going to them. I realize now the importance of being inconvenienced and going to funerals. Until you lose a family member yourself, you won't understand the comfort it brings the family and they will never forget you were there. I wish I would have read the article sooner. I missed a funeral not long ago.
